TR34 4th edition

The 4th edition of the UK Concrete Society Technical Report 34 (TR34) is due for release very shortly. Darryl Eddy was pleased to be part of the Steering Group as well as the Drafting Committee and is sure the guide will be welcomed by the industry. The major changes in the 4th edition relate to:

• Detailed guidance for designing ground floor slabs suspended on piles
• Increased information relating to inspection and maintenance
• Detailed recomendations regarding site quality control
• Flatness tolerances more in line with European standard EN 15620
• New approach in establishing material properties of SFRC, in line with EN14651
